Our History

Dayton Automotive has been providing the Bay Area with quality automotive repair services since 1959. The business was originally established by Mr. Ron D’Amico.  Under his management and guidance Dayton Automotive grew into a well respected, prosperous automotive repair facility.  The primary focus has always been on the repair of all domestic, foreign, and imported standard vehicles. Mr. D’Amico was able to provide heavy-duty lifts and the technical ingenuity to service motor homes (RV’s), and commercial (medium-duty) vehicles. Mr. D’Amico’s personal passion for the repair, maintenance and restoration of classic vehicle’s started a long-standing tradition that we proudly continue to this day. By providing top-quality repairs and excellent customer service, Mr. D’Amico earned the respect, trust and loyalty of thousands of customers, and a large majority of the business community.

All good things must come to an end, and after dedicating countless hours of physical and mental labor to the creation and prosperity of Dayton Automotive, Mr. Ron D’Amico retired. Mr. D’Amico turned the business over to the Salazar family, a trusted and loyal employee who had assisted in the rise of Dayton Automotive under the tutelage of Mr. D’Amico himself. Beginning in the year 2001 the Salazars pledged to provide the same great top-quality repairs and excellent customer service that was the foundation upon which Mr. D’Amico built Dayton Automotive.

In 2006, John Afanasiev purchased 50% of Dayton Automotives’ shares, and created Dayton Automotive, Incorporated.  Mr. Afanasiev has focused his attentions on customer satisfaction. By implementing his ideas and principles the staff at Dayton Automotive has been able to provide the customers and their vehicles with guaranteed satisfaction and guaranteed repairs.

Our goal is to provide excellence and integrity in customer service. Each individual employee pledges to treat our customers, their vehicles, and their hard earned money with the utmost respect.
